The scenery contains part of the Neponset River as well as tree groves, stone walkways, walking bridges overlooking the water, grassy fields and ponds. This beautiful park also offers areas for cross country skiing, tennis and basketball courts and a picnic area to enjoy with family and friends. Local concerts and events are sometimes held on the bandstand inside the park. Walpole Little League has won the state championship twice, in 1991 and 2007. They went to the Little League World Series in 2007.

Both sewage and water are municipally owned in Walpole. There is trash collection funded by Walpole for 1, 2, and 3 family homes that runs once a week. There are 30 Firefighters, Paramedics and Chief Officers. The closest Hospital is the Caritas Norwood Hospital.
